How it works
Paste your people one per line, choose either a number of teams or how many people each team should have, then press Make teams. Everyone is shuffled once and dealt out round-robin, so team sizes differ by at most one person.
Teams are balanced by number of people and randomly assigned. There is no skill rating, ranking or handicapping involved.
Custom team names
Add one team name per line in the optional names box. Any team without a name keeps its default label.
If a person appears twice in your list they will be placed twice. The item counter shows how many values repeat.
Frequently asked questions
- Are the teams balanced by skill?
- No. Assignment is random and only the headcount is balanced — sizes differ by at most one.
- Can I keep certain people together or apart?
- Not in this version. Constraints change the odds in ways that need careful handling, so they are deliberately left out for now.
- Can I re-draw the teams?
- Yes. Shuffle teams again produces a completely fresh assignment.
